To support the record-breaking launch of Batman: The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. relied on Tierra's development team to create the core technology for Knight Force, an avatar-based virtual world game. Knight Force was launched via the KidsWB-powered DC Herozone website and is an immersive branded experience for users.

In partnership with WB's creative and animation teams, Tierra custom-developed a platform that allowed WB to design a feature-rich game in which users are enlisted to train for Bat missions. The game lets users customize their avatar, earn points, purchase items for Gotham Mart, watch video, navigate Gotham through the avatar and via a GPS map, chat, and play successive game levels among other features. Utilizing a highly scalable messaging platform and database architecture, Tierra's work on the project enabled flash designers and developers to focus on the Knight Force user experience.
