The fast-pace of change in mobile applications and a sea-change in the way music is distributed around the world posed a challenge for pioneering online music brand Napster. Having identified key user-interface challenges for its mobile applications (WAP and Java), Napster turned to Tierra to evolve the information architecture and re-design the user-interface for Napster Mobile. Working with in-house product managers, engineers, and management on two continents, Tierra’s design team created a new framework and interface for Napster Mobile to be deployed with wireless carriers in both Europe and the US.
